Back in Cornwall after a fantastic weekend in London at Ceramics in the City at the Geffrye Museum. A really great show in a lovely venue. A nightmare to drive to, but worth it once you get there! It was great to see old friends and meet lots of new customers. Around 50 pieces went off to new homes which made packing up after the show a lot quicker.
I will look forward to next years event.
Next events for me this year are Art in Clay at the Farnham Maltings in November.
A group show at both The Schaller Gallery, US and Gallery St.Ives, Tokyo
Heading to London on Thursday for Ceramics in the City at the Geffrye Museum
Opening evening on Thursday 24th 6pm until 8.30pm. The show then runs through to Sunday 27th. See you there if you can make it.
Here are some of the pots that will be coming with me to the show.....
A selection of little cups from Mondays firing which I packed this morning.
I have to make a selection of 10 to send to Gallery St. Ives, Tokyo, Japan
in October for a Guinomi Show in December. I have another 30 or so to
fire to make the selection from. Two of these went straight out the door
today with a happy visitor to the Workshop.
I'm very grateful to James Hazelwood for taking a great series of shots of my stand at Art in Clay this year. He has a great eye and a passion for ceramics and this equals some really good shots of pots.
This years event was good.....extremely hot which kept the crowds at bay a little, but still a successful weekend.
Art in Clay 2015 starts on Friday the 3rd of July.
I will be traveling up to the south east tomorrow to set up the show on Thursday......very much looking forward to getting the pots set up and meeting lots of people over the three days.
Here is a link for a 2-4-1 deal for entry the show. Print off one of the tickets and come along if you can.
I have been making and firing a lot of new work, so will have a great selection with me at the show.
