Wow it's been ages....and it's been so busy...

It really has been to long since I posted on here....there has been so much going on....almost too much to tell, but here are some images from a couple of recent events. These shots were taken by James Hazlewood during the Art in Clay event at Hatfield House. I always enjoy seeing what James chooses to shoot, he really does take some great images of my pots and pots in general.

I am now packing pots for Ceramic Wales this this weekend. After that we have Pots and Food festival in the Peak District, then Abergevenny Food Festival and finally Ceramics in the City in London.......it's going to be a very hectic September.

It's been a while since I posted!!

Lots has happened since my last post in early November. The major event was the birth of our daughter at the end of November. An amazing little creature! Giving us lots of joy.

After a month or so of getting used to our new companion I got back to work. The first project was to get a new kiln shed built. It is now finished enough to be used.....a few more bits of cladding to be added, but that will come as and when funds allow. I have also built a small experimental kiln(not pictured) for Salt and soda firing. I have fired it once and was very pleased with some of the pots. It wasn't a total success, one shelf was totally under-fired, so much so that Cone8 didn't even move. I think I know how to resolve this and will fire again soon. I will probably fire it a couple more times before I take it down to make way for my new main kiln. This will be 30 cu ft down draft kiln to fired with Propane and finished with a small amount of wood and soda to add some flavour to areas of raw (un-glazed) clay on the pots.

I have sent to some new work to The Schaller Gallery in St Joseph, US for a show during March. Some of the pots from the kiln have headed over there, some of which are featured below.

There is lots happening at the moment with projects and making in full swing.....more regular blog posts to come in the coming weeks

Back from a good time in London at Ceramics in City at the Geffrye Museum.

Last weekend was a good one at the Geffrye Museum for this years Ceramics in the City.
I really enjoyed the event last year and this year didn't disappoint.

After a very manic couple of months I now have a few weeks to take stock and prepare for the next show at the end of October. Made By Hand, Cardiff. 28th-30th October.

Art in Clay 2016

Here are a few images from my stand at this years Art in Clay fair at Hatfield House.

Thanks to everybody who visited and came and said hello and took pots home with them.
It was great to catch up with friends and meet new customers. I especially enjoyed hearing about how much people enjoy using my pots in their every day life, very satisfying!

Now time to get back on the wheel and replenish stocks for the next shows that are coming up over the next couple of months.
