I'm currently setting up my workroom and kiln shed in preparation for
Tywi Valley Open studio's. The event runs from Saturday 21st until
Sunday 29th. We'll be open between 10am-5pm each day [10-4 Weds] During
the 9 days I am going to have a big sale of older pots, slight seconds
and miscellaneous pieces. I'll post images of what you might expect to
find tomorrow. If you can't visit you can always drop me a line for more
information about any pots that peak your interest. All welcome....the
kettle will be on.

It's all about getting things dry...
This 'Spring' has been pretty chilly and damp, so getting pots dry has been a bit tricky...slow is better than quick, but some pieces are taking forever. Lots of moving pots around and loading up the top of the Rayburn to finish off the drying.
One more bisque firing to go and then I'll be ready to fire the big kiln.

Midgley Green
The lovely folks from Midgley Green @midgleygreen
came to our place on Monday to collect the latest selection of pots for
their fantastic shop in Clevedon. While we were chatting about the new kiln
Seamus took some great images which I wanted to share with you. I am in
full making mode at the moment in preparation for the next firing in a
couple of weeks time. All being well, the pots from that firing will
ready in time for the Contemporary Ceramics Fair at the @hepworthwakefield over the first May bank holiday weekend.

I know I said it last time....but it really has been ages since my last post...
Here are a ton of images of my new kiln and some making process shots. The images of me making are by Ben Boswell a renowned photographer of crafts people. He mainly focuses on Potter and Ceramists.
The images of my new kiln are from the first firing last month, plus a few images of the build.
Just a load of images for you to look at more words at another point........
